The Reinventors Workshop is a free weekly themed series of virtual talks where we invite our featured esteemed speaker to share thought-provoking stories and action-oriented lessons.
Each workshop aims to enable attendees globally to learn, reflect, and take away lessons to make a change in their own selves personally and/or professionally as well as to effect action within their local communities.
About the Speaker: Ruth Cooper-Dickson
A positive psychology expert and social entrepreneur, Ruth founded global Mental Wealth consultancy CHAMPS, in 2015 and has since worked with a multitude of internationally renowned brands.
Recognising the gap between corporate wellbeing support services and positive organisational culture, CHAMPS was created to ingrain positive Mental Wealth within businesses to help them thrive.
Her Community Interest Company, CHAMPS for Change, focuses on supporting research into the experiences of post-traumatic growth using coaching; working with projects and collaborations including WE:ARE (formerly Birmingham Freedom Project) supporting women in thrivership of experiencing domestic abuse, and Indigo Volunteers, coaching volunteers working with refugee communities across the world.
A highly accomplished public speaker, Ruth has delivered engaging keynote presentations around the world – from ING Bank’s ‘Global Diversity and Inclusion’ week, to Expedia’s ‘Global Wellness’ month conference in California, and, recently, the Women’s Economic Forum in Slovenia.
Ruth is familiar with a wide range of sectors and specialisms, and has spoken on mental health at media, insurance, legal, tech and healthcare industry events.
Putting compassion, empathy and authenticity at the heart of everything she does, Ruth often shares her own lived experience of panic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder, and is a patron of UK charity, No Panic.
A professional doctoral candidate for 2021 researching in the field of Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling, Ruth holds an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology majoring in coaching and post-traumatic growth. Also a keen writer, Ruth is the resident Positive Psychology expert for the BALANCE London magazine. She also hosts her newly launched podcast series, New Rules, where she speaks passionately and enthusiastically about positive psychology and Mental Wealth for all.
